Now you can officially learn the art professional wrestling at the newly revamped PWA Queensland training school – “The Dragon’s Lair”!
Proudly located at Bray Park PCYC (at the Les Hughes Sporting Complex on the corner of Baker St and Francis Rd in Bray Park), it is approximately a five to ten minute walk from the Bray Park train station on Railway Avenue. This is a great bonus for anyone traveling by public transportation!
The school has previously had seminars run by Chris Hero, whom is a mainstay of many promotions including ROH, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), and Pro Wrestling NOAH, Shadow Phoenix, whose experience extends far beyond Australia into Japan, and Sara Del Rey, who has been named of the ‘top female wrestlers in the world’ and is a regular in the number one all women’s promotion in America, SHIMMER. These seminars are a once in a lifetime chance and all who have participated have come away with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
The regular trainers have also had great success in the Australian Wrestling scene.
Sessions will cover the following:
Graduates of the training school include ‘Rise of the Warriors III’ winner AJ Istria; the high-flying Johnny Gunn; Ash Riot and Mark Davis (both of whom wrestled for PWG in California and trained with CHIKARA); as well as Josh and Joe Haze of the 'Haze Brothers'; Robbie Irons, and Sammy Lee Shayder.
The school itself has previously been featured on Channel 9’s “The Shak” television program.

- Training sessions are run every Saturday.
- One of our requirements is that you must be 16 years of age or older. This is not negotiable so please don’t email us asking.
- Please realise that professional wrestling, in essence, is a sport. Like any professional sporting athlete, you must have a certain level of both physical and mental fitness in order to excel.
- Please also be aware that the training centre is not an extension of your backyard. We do not provide an open service for you to do an untrained match.

- Etiquette in and out of the ring
- Conditioning
- Emphasis on the basics
- Drills
- Ring psychology
- Timing and positioning
