As Mr. J and Mark Williamson were opening the August 15th Fortitude Valley show, they were quickly interrupted by Mason Childs who was looking to throw a "coming of age" celebration for Mark Davis. Balloons, streamers and banners adorned the ring, and confetti was thrown onto Davis upon his entrance. Davis talked about how finally he'd become a true main eventer - pointing out the last time he'd been in the main event, it was last August @ Eagleby, and he defeated Johnny Gunn in a hardcore match. Music hit, and the two Brotherhood members were interrupted by Obie Cartel, making a surprise return!! He corrected Davis, saying it was he who defeated Davis in the main event, moments after the Gunn match, last August, and then challenged Davis to a match. He refused at first due to it being his night off but Cartel attacked them both and the match was set for later that evening!
After intermission passed, the two came out for their fight. It was a hard-fought match, that finally ended when Mark Davis low-blowed Obie and rolled him up for the cheat victory, much to the chagrin of Cartel and the fans. Questions posed now are - what happens now? Is this the beginning of a new rivalry? Will Obie Cartel align himself with one of the four factions running wild in PWAQ?
