PWAQ Feb 13 @ Beenleigh Arena Card
After two amazing nights of action of Brisbane's northside, PWAQ returns to Beenleigh Arena on February 13 for an action packed night of wrestling!
Ash Riot (c) vs AJ Istria vs Esteban Molina vs Mason Childs
PWA International Title Match
Arguably the top four wrestlers in Queensland wrestling history go head to head for the most prestigious belt in PWA today!
With a very storied history between all four men, things came to a head at Everton Hills on January 22 as Istria, Molina and Childs all demanded a title shot. Commissioner St Michael decided to put all three into a round robin challenge at Bray Park the next night. The round robin challenge ended in a draw, to the delight of Donnie St Michael. As he called for the New Assassin Squad to attack Mason and Esteban after their match, allies of both men chased off NAS. This allowed AJ Istria to come out and the three men demanded a four man showdown for the title at Beenleigh Arena.
With all the tension between the four men, each has a lot to prove.
Will AJ Istria be able to avenge the loss he suffered at Summer Reign '09 and regain the International Title Ash Riot stole from him? Will Esteban Molina be able to regain the title he was never defeated for back in November? Will Mason Childs be able to regain a title he has been chasing for nearly two years now? Or will Ash Riot be able to overcome the odds and retain the title against his three toughest opponents to date?
The Fitness Maniacs (c) vs The Haze Brothers
PWA Queensland Tag Team Title Match
After an impressive showing at Summer Reign '09 in the four team showdown, PWAQ have granted Josh and Joe Haze another shot at the PWA Queensland Tag Team Title. After a neck injury sidelined Josh Haze in January, he looks to return full force with his brother, to take on a team that many are calling the most dominant team in Australian wrestling history.
Sean O'Shea and Mikey Broderick have been on a roll since winning the tag straps, defeating the best teams not only in Queensland, but from around Australia and New Zealand. The Haze Brothers have shown they are capable of winning tag gold, holding the Nightmare Wrestling Tag Team Titles over the summer.
Will The Hazes be able to pull off a miracle win? Or will the Fitness Maniacs continue their reign as tag team champions?
Johnny Gunn vs Shadow Phoenix
February 13 will see international warfare break into a highflying battle! 2010 has already seen an attitude change for 'The British Badarse' as he turned his back on Team Underground stable-mates Esteban Molina and Johnny Lukas. now with the backing of Commissioner St Michael and NAS, Gunn heads into February 13 with the biggest test of his career, as he faces Japanese superstar Shadow Phoenix. Shadow picked up two huge wins in January and is looking to make his final match of his Australian tour a win as well.
Will the UK-born menace be able to score the biggest win of his career? Or will the Japanese highflying veteran be able to score another win in the building where he had his most famous match against Chris Hero, and redeem the loss from over a year ago?
Obie (c) vs Sorrow vs Zero
PWA Queensland Title Match
After a vicious attack on his arm at Everton Hills PCYC by D*Star, Obie will return to action. Obie demanded a match against D*Star, but Commissioner St Michael has given D*Star the night off, citing that D*Star's personal safety would be at risk if he were in the same building as Obie, but if Obie retains his belt, he is welcome to defend it against D*Star on March 20th at Bray Park PCYC.
Obie has been one of the most consistent wrestlers on the PWA Queensland roster since his arrival. He is also the only man to hold both the PWA Queensland and PWA International titles. Will Obie be able to retain his title and go on to face D*Star March 20th?
Sorrow has been on quite a win streak recently, which included injuring PWAQ's resident giant Kyote, and putting him on the shelf indefinitely. Will Sorrow be able to regain the title he first won back in October 2007?
Zero comes into this match as a man at odds. In recent months we have seen Zero become not only more aggressive, but also taking more shortcuts to win his matches. Will Zero be able to unite the PWA Queensland and Underground titles and become the first ever double crown champion in PWAQ?
Seoul vs Johnny Lukas
After the brutal attack by NAS on Lukas after his loss in a tag match on January 23, Lukas will be looking to gain a measure of revenge against NAS' enforcer, Seoul. Will Lukas be able to pick up the victory over one of NAS' own or will Seoul score the decisive win?
Kellie Skater vs Jessie McKay
After a hiatus from PWAQ, two of Australia's top women wrestler return to add another chapter to their long rivalry. With both women coming off extensive tours of America throughout 2009, who will score the big win and gain true bragging rights as Australia's top woman wrestler?
Rumble for First Entrant into Rise of the Warriors 4
A February tradition continues in PWA Queensland, as we start the road to 'Rise of the Warriors 4'.
A win in this rumble will guarantee one man a spot in the annual sixteen-man tournament, which has been a tradition since the first shows of PWA Queensland, and has produced some of the best matches in the company's history. Who will step up and win?
